Home Serve Program

As part of the Strip 1 Tysons project, Washington Gas is offering eligible properties along the construction route access to a 20‑year, no‑cost exterior sewer/septic service line protection program, administered by Service Line Warranties of America (SLWA).

SLWA is the primary contact for all service requests under this program.

Washington Gas wants to make sure that you have the information and support you need should any issues arise with your exterior sewer or septic service lines.

To help with this, Washington Gas is partnering with HomeServe, a respected provider of home repair services, to manage this program.

What This Coverage Includes for Homes Along the Route

HomeServe provides protection for exterior sewer and septic service lines against normal wear and tear. This coverage is designed to support customers with aging or deteriorating lines.

HomeServe’s protection does not apply to all types of emergencies or all service line issues. For example, repairs that fall outside the scope of the exterior sewer/septic coverage—or issues caused by factors other than normal wear and tear—may not be eligible.

If a problem is found to be unrelated to the covered service line or linked to construction activity, the contractor will document the situation and share details with Washington Gas so that we can determine the appropriate next steps.

Even when an issue is not covered, you will never be left without guidance. HomeServe, the contractor, and Washington Gas will work together to ensure you understand what was found, your options, and whether it can be handled through the project team rather than HomeServe.

Our goal is to keep you informed and supported throughout the Strip 1 Tysons project, and we appreciate your patience as we complete this important work. To contact HomeServe, please visit www.homeserve.com
