Current Construction
For the current phase, construction is occurring, or will occur, on a portion of Magarity Road, Peabody Road, Lisle Avenue, and the Pimmit Hills Center located at 7510 Lisle Avenue in Falls Church. A regulator station will be installed at the Pimmit Hills Center. All work within the roadway will occur in the right-of-way and is permitted by the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).
Construction for this phase began in July 2018 and is expected to be completed in September 2019. Construction schedules may be affected by weather and other unforeseen circumstances. As permitted, work will typically be performed between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Future Construction
Washington Gas has submitted a permit application for the final phase that will connect the regulator station under construction at the Pimmit Hills Center at 7510 Lisle Avenue with the existing Pimmit Hills Regulator Station off of Route 7 near Pimmit Drive. The selected Fisher / Cherri route includes the following streets: Peabody Drive, Fisher Drive, Cherri Drive, Leonard Road, Cherri Drive, Griffith Road, Pimmit Drive.
